A Scent for Each Mood

A lot of people have been asking me what perfume I wear or what my signature scent is. Right now I am taking Fenugreek so my signature scent is syrup. Haha but seriously, I don't believe in having one scent that defines you, how boring. Plus, the more times you wear the same perfume you can't smell it on yourself and you end up drowning yourself in it so you can smell it. I love changing up scents based on my day or what I am doing, and I love to smell it on me, in moderation, throughout the day. My first favorite is Dolce & Gabbana- Rose the One. Who doesn't love the smell of roses? If diamonds had a scent I bet I would wear that too :) I wear this when I want a light, fresh smell that isn't overpowering. I wore this to work a lot.

Jimmy Choo-Eau de Parfum is for shopping days. Sweet with a touch of sexy, makes you feel as if you got out of bed looking and feeling awesome, even if you didn't.

Chanel-Chance. Who doesn't love Chanel? "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."- Coco Chanel. That is exactly this scent. Fresh, spring-y, and fabulous. I will break this out as soon as soon as the air warms up and I jump into those white pants.

Marc Jacobs-Honey is a new one I got for Christmas. This is just like the bottle looks, playful. Top note is pear, juicy mandarin with a base note of vanilla and smooth woods. I will be wearing this golfing this summer and at the pool. Yes I wear perfume to the pool, sunscreen & chlorine are not acceptable scents :)

Burberry-Brit is an everyday perfume. When in doubt, spritz it on. My other favorite Burberry scent is The Beat, but I am out of it right now and from the looks of it I have plenty of others to use before I go buying any more.

Calvin Klein-Euphoria. An oldie but a goodie! Men love this scent. This is a date night, going out night kind of scent! Seriously, trust me.

I carry a roller-ball of Viktor & Rolf- Flowerbomb in my purse because I am out of the bottle and I love it. The decription states it makes everything positive, and you can't go wrong with that! And the next perfume on my "to buy" list is Prada-Candy. Yummy. Well there you have it. Looking for a new fragrance, try one of my favorites and let me know what you think. I know the perfume counter ladies are sometimes stingy with their samples but ask anyways! Your skin is not paper so how can you judge the scent from a piece of paper? TIP: If you travel, save those samples for your carry-on! Under 3 ounces and they don't spill :)

These are a Few of my Favorite Things

Sun day, fun day here at our house. Our first official stroller walk with the dog in the books! Feels amazing to get out and breathe some fresh air. I can tell I have not done much cardio since I had my baby, I was sweating! Haha sexy I know. It was so nice to run errands and not have to put 50 layers on everyone before walking outside and I swear the sun makes everyone in a much better mood. My lipstick pink Hunter boots got to play around in some puddles today! I love these bright beauties. Great for all seasons. Favorite boots!

The baby decided this sunshine was the perfect time for a cat nap. I am guessing she liked it then? So precious. Favorite baby, duh :)

And Rio was really proud of herself after the walk too, yes she is normally all white. Favorite dog...somedays.

If you love peanut butter and need a snack, I have got your back! Take regular/plain greek yogurt, I love Chobani, and add 1 spoonful of peanut butter. Next add in small dollop of honey, mix well and enjoy! Tastes like peanut butter cookie dough! To die for! I love it with apples but eating it plain too is just as good. You could swap regular peanut butter for other varieties such as sun butter or almond butter, but I love me some full fat Jiffy! New favorite snack.

Because I am trying to drink more water (blah), I have been carrying around my steel Starbucks cup like it's another child. Best cup ever people. Keeps liquids hot or cold, fits in car cup holders, and doesn't sweat!! Now that's a miracle. I just bought a new steel colored one today. Favorite reusable cup!

This post was inspired by my trip to Costco today. They have so many of my favorites but this one takes the cake. If they quit stocking these, I may need an intervention. Dark chocolate pretzel crisps. Drool worthy. Tip: take your serving, which is 5 crisps, close the bag and walk away or you will never stop eating them. Favorite indulgence.

Put on Your Face

This post is a tribute to my Mother. Ever since I can remember, my Mom never EVER left the house without her face on! So it comes naturally when a normal part of my morning routine is makeup. Whether it is adding just a tinted moisturizer or putting on a full face, I do it. If you happen to catch me out without a stitch of anything, please call a doctor as something is wrong! I decided to post a few of my favorites below and this is a typical morning. No plans for the day, just hanging out with my baby. Confession: I do not wash my face unless I wash my hair in the shower and I use a Q-tip and clean my ears! So the below routine is starting fresh after a shower.

Now with a baby, my order has changed. She goes down for her morning nap and I get started! Right now I can still feed/hold with one hand, so hair is first because that takes 2 hands. Blow dry, curl, done. Next is moisturizer. I recently switched to Origins GinZing face cream (Origins will give you samples to try before you buy.) After moisturizing, I use 2 products under my eyes, because after being up at night I need a little  boost! NARS radiant creamy concealer and Origins refreshing eye cream. Apply both with fingers. I am a sucker for Clinique superbalanced makeup because my skin is so sensitive, I have tried to stray and can't! Follow with bronzer by Laura Geller and blush by NARS in Orgasm. Seriously, it works on almost any face color.

My eyelashes are growing long and thick thanks to my favorite product, Latisse. I buy the 3ml bottle and have a secret tip to make it last twice as long. I am a firm believer in curling lashes, but man if you catch the inner corner of your eye...wowzer you won't ever do that again. Line lashes with MAC graphblack liner and apply mascara.  I use 2 different types of mascara. Both from Benefit, BAD gal lash and They're Real. Use BAD gal first then the other. Last two things are a quick swipe of eyeshadow from BareMinerals-Nude beach and Dior lip glow gloss. Perfection!

P.S. It took me longer to write this than it did to put all of this on. Once you make something routine, it just comes natural. Thanks Mom!
