Joe Fresh+Hy-Vee- 8 Must Have Spring Looks

One stop shopping! Who doesn’t love that? Other retailers are doing it so naturally it has progressed to more stores, including grocery stores. Did you know that Joe Fresh is already in 350+ grocery stores in Canada? Hy-Vee employs an amazing staff who are stylists to work in their clothing departments. They are knowledgeable about the products and are willing to help you put together an outfit if you are looking for advice.

I am so excited to collaborate with Hy-Vee and share the Joe Fresh Spring collection. It is a Canadian company founded in 2006 and it’s where you will find some of the best basics that will last you season after season. Bold colors and a few trendy pieces to keep your closet fresh. Available for everyone in the family, Joe Fresh offers men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, sunglasses, intimates, cosmetics, footwear, swimwear, activewear, and women’s plus sized range of clothing.

Look #1

-White exposed button jeans. I am wearing a 26 (tts) and they are a slight kick flare and button front which is on trend for this Spring.

-Tan sweater is a closet staple. Pairs well with everything. I am wearing a small. Great for layering over chambray or plaid too for Fall and Winter.

-Laser cut Slip on shoes. I am normally an 8.5 so I sized down to an 8. They are the perfect shoe that can transition from casual looks to athleisure.

-Fun sunglasses. They have a great print to them and a trendy shape.

Look #2

-Knit Tweed top. Great with joggers (as seen here) or pair with work pants, leather skirt or jeans. Wearing a size small.

-Mixed media Joggers. They are also available in khaki color. I sized down to an XS. Great travel pant too!

-Laser cut Slip on shoes or tennis shoes would be cute too!

-These sunglasses are currently 50% off

Look #3

-Essential V-Neck tee. If you don’t have one, you need one. Best basic ever. Pair with a denim jacket, trench coat like below, or plain like I styled it here.

Each of these looks can be mixed and matched. Wear the sweater with the joggers and the tweed top with the white denim. See how a few key pieces can transform your closet?

Look #4

-Print slim fit chinos. These are navy with white dots and run TTS. I am wearing a 2. Navy is a great color that pairs well with a pop of color or keep it simple with a white blouse and bright shoe.

-Rib Crew Neck Tee. Wearing a small. It also comes in other colors and is light and stretchy.

-Trench coat. I sized down to an XS. This is a classic Spring look and you can wear it over joggers or to work.

Look #5

-Scoop Neck One-Piece Swimsuit. Navy striped one piece that is the most comfortable and flattering thing ever! They also have bikinis and high waisted swim suits as well. Wearing a small.

-Chambray pull on shorts. I am wearing a small and the tie is functional. Great coverup for the beach.

IMG_1616.JPG

Look #6

-Quilted Jacket/pullover. This comes in 2 other colors. Perfect for everyday or a light jacket over your tanks.

-Leggings. This print is so fun and I sized down to an XS. I would say these are better for travel or running errands and not hard core workouts. (P.S. they have a matching sports bra too)

-Laser cut Slip on shoes.

Remember when I said that the staff in Hy-Vee clothing are professional stylists? Rowan and I received 2 boxes in the mail complete with outfits customized based on our styles. We unboxed them live over on my stories @ladyandredstyle. I would say they absolutely nailed it. Each one of these pieces can be worn together or separately, making a few outfit choices just from a few key pieces. See how we styled them below.

Gordmans Back to School Shopping- No Kid Hungry Campaign

Back to school… 3 little words that are supposed to be a parent’s relief. Unfortunately, those 3 words are not a relief to 13 million children in the U.S. who struggle with hunger. In the summertime, 6 out of 7 hungry kids do not get the meals they need and while in school, lunch is sometimes their last meal of the day. Oh what a wonderful world we live in that we get to give back and possibly help these numbers improve. I have partnered with Gormans to tell you how you all can help.

Please spread the word with your friends too! We can do MORE because we are always better TOGETHER!

Gordmans is partnering with No Kid Hungry to help make sure no kid goes hungry any time of the year, not just back to school time. From July 21 to August 31, post a photo on your Instagram feed using the hashtag #FuelKidsFutures and Gordmans will donate $1 to No Kid Hungry. (**Up to $10,000)

For more information about the cause, No Kid Hungry, click HERE.

Please tag me in your photos too so I can see what you guys picked up while shopping at Gordmans! Find me on Instagram @ladyandredstyle and make sure to follow @gordmans too.

See what Rowan and I found during our back to school shopping at our local Gordmans.

Anyone else’s child unicorn obsessed? Trust me they have plenty of inventory to shop from with unicorns on chairs, bows, and of course backpacks!

IMG_2981.jpg

Gordmans is an off-price retailer which means they buy excess inventory and that allows you, the buyer, to shop reduced prices everyday. I think you will be greatly surprised to see how many brands you can identify all in ONE location. Hint Hint…this makes any kind of shopping super easy and convenient.

Heart Healthy with Gordmans ❤️

Did you know that cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of death in the United States, responsible for 840,768 deaths (635,260 cardiac) in 2016? From 2006 to 2016, the US death rate from CVD decreased by 18.6% and from coronary heart disease by 31.8%.

(Statistic taken from the website from the AHA. https://www.acc.org/latest-in-cardiology/ten-points-to-remember/2019/02/15/14/39/aha-2019-heart-disease-and-stroke-statistics. )

I was excited to partner with Gordmans to bring awareness to heart health through their campaign #GetPumpedForHeartHealth ❤️ From April 1-30th, with every share on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #GetPumpedForHeartHealth, Gordmans will donate $1 to the American Heart Association. If you are interested in learning more about the campaign, you can visit their website HERE.

What does heart healthy look like to you? It could be something as simple as random acts of kindness, cooking healthy meals, or incorporating family time into your day.

IMG_8277.jpg

Part of my job as a blogger is to empower other women to feel comfortable in their own skin and clothing. Fashion is obviously a big part of my life and it really is true that you are what you wear! I was able to find so many styles and sizes throughout Gordmans to fit every size and style, including men & children. Don't forget your fur babies either ☺️

Rowan was so happy to pick out her “workout” outfit (pictured below). Heart healthy behaviors start at any age. Get your kids involved and watch them influence their peers as well. It is always a challenge in our home to see how much weight she can lift and how many times and I bet if she had a younger sibling we would have some friendly competitions! Haha If you notice she starts at 2 lbs. ☺️ Get your family moving together!

Rowan’s outfit and workout gear is provided by Gordmans. You can shop in stores near you and donate directly to the AHA as well!

IMG_8260.jpg

Did you know that a balanced eating regimen with foods from all five food groups is key to preventing disease? My nursing background helps me to understand how to keep my family healthy by cooking meals at home, plus with a child it is just plain easier. When you are in charge of the ingredients, you tend to put more thought into what you are feeding your families. I challenge you to cook one more meal a week at home. Set a goal for yourself!

Being heart healthy doesn’t have to be just consuming healthy foods. I have started off this 2019 year by reading a daily devotional with my morning coffee. It allows me to meditate and relax my mind, freeing it from the anxiety of every day life. Do you take time for yourself throughout the day? If so, what do you do?

So many of you and your loved ones have been affected by heart disease, and I am hopeful that by continuing to bring awareness to to it, we can start to change lives and perspectives on how to live a heart healthy life!

Post a photo TODAY on Instagram or Facebook and use the hashtag #GetPumpedForHeartHealth and tag me in it @ladyandredstyle so I can see it and share it!

Happy Good Friday Friends!
